Sculptures

There are a variety of sculptors who are very well known in Costa Rica and some even internationally. Many have earned recognition by winning prizes for their works of art or having them displayed in very public places. There is no lack of talent or inspiration in this field of expression.

In fact, if one keeps their eyes open they will certainly see a sculpture or two on any given visit to Costa Rica. Costa Rican sculptors are blessed with a variety of different mediums in which they can use to create their masterpieces. Some use different types of exotic tropical woods and others a variety of types of stones such as marble.
