Hotel Bulgari in Bali Island

Bulgari, name associated with jewelry and accessories of the highest exclusivity and value, is the ultra-luxury hotel brand to be installed in Costa Rica in the medium term.
This is the first hotel of this chain in the Americas. There are only three Bulgari hotels in the world: Milan (Italy), Bali (Indonesia) and Tokyo (Japan). In 2012 will open another hotel in London. The arrival of this hotel to the country was confirmed separately by Allan Flores, Minister of Tourism, and Luis Castro, a lawyer from BLP Associates and who represents the developers of the project.
This is the U.S. firm Canyon Group, a company that develops hotels in the luxury segment, and has seven locations in the world. Bulgari is owned by Marriott, confirmed Francisco Garcia, General Manager of JW Marriott, a five-star hotel located in Guanacaste and operating since 2009. Minister Flores said negotiations for the arrival of Bulgari to the country began two years ago. The new hotel will be located in the Eco Desarrollo Papagayo in Liberia. Both the minister and Castro estimated this investment at just over U$100 million, which includes the construction of a hotel of 60 rooms and 30 villas in an area of eight hectares.“The target of Bulgari are multimillionaires, people who buy and enjoy goods related to the brand”, the minister said. Proof of this is the price for one night room in any of the Bulgari hotels, which exceeds U$3,000 and can reach U$4,000. Asked about this new hotel, Garcia stated that each brand has “distinguishing characteristics referring to the facilities and the services”. “It is very positive that a hotel of this size begins operations in our country. This leads to the development of local infrastructure”, he said. Flores acknowledged that the issue of infrastructure is one of the most important challenges the country has to face, in order to improve its competitiveness in tourism.
