Playa Moin-Limon. The Moin area is the launching point to reach many of the popular Caribbean Coastal towns due to it's many waterways.
Puerto Limon
Limon-Limon-Costa Rica. This is the capital city of the Limon Province. Costa Rica has two Coasts, and with that two Cultures. Spanish/Latin on the Pacific and Highlands and Patua-English/Caribbean culture on the Caribbean ocean. The City of Limon is the only urban setting on the Caribbean. Here a unique Afro Caribbean culture has influenced the architecture, colors, and tastes of this incredibly rich coast.
Tortuguero
Playa Tortuguero - Distrito Colorado - Pococi - Limon - Costa Rica. Tortuguero and Tortuguero National Park lies on the Caribbean Ocean in the northern part of the Province of Limon. This location is famous for its Turtle visits and the National Park with hundreds of miles of beaches and mangrove channels to explore.
Playa Cahuita & National Park
Relaxing in Cahuita is almost unavoidable. The town sits on a small, rocky penisula and is bordered to the south by Cahuita National Park, and Playa Negra (one of the best swimming beaches in Costa Rica) to the north.
Barra del Colorado
Located near the north tip of the Caribbean Coast, this region barriers the frontier zone along Nicaragua's border. Rainfall here is a normal occurrence making this region hot, humid and marshy. It makes taking a boat as the only realistic way of reaching this area. It is so remote, that most people merely visit Tortuguero to the south. However, for the bold traveler, there can be huge rewards by seeing toucans, macaws, white hawks, big cats, sloths, caimans, and manatees. A bit difficult to get to, but impossible to forget.
Puerto Viejo
Puerto Viejo - Talamanca - Limon - Costa Rica Puerto Viejo is in the southern area of the Caribbean Coast. It is one of the most popular destinations on Costa Rica's East Coast because of its surfing, laid back atmosphere and its incredible surrounding beaches.
