Radio

Radio is one of the most popular means of media in the whole country. No matter where someone goes they will uninevitably hear the radio playing. At last count there are a little over 130 different stations that broadcast popular music in Spanish & English, talk shows, sports, news, religious, and humor. Costa Ricans depend on the radio if they are not able for whatever reason to watch soccer matches on TV. Most people comment on how frequently they hear oldies but goodies played. Many radio stations play songs in English. Obviously the newest songs coming out in North America take a month or so to make it down here.
