Because Playa Hermosa is a magnet for fit surfers and yoga enthusiats the food found here is usually pretty health concious in most of the small restaurants found here. You can find typical Costa Rican food here. Do not miss out on the fresh sea food offered at dinner. Honestly, one of the best and most filling meals in Playa Hermosa are their surfer's breakfasts and they are very reasonably priced if you need to fill up for a while, Playa Hermosa is the perfect breakfast/brunch place.
Las Olas
Just a step off the strand at Playa Hermosa, Bistro Las Olas and the Las Olas Deck are favorite hangout spots for locals and guests alike. Peppered with swinging hammocks and cozy seating, the Lower Deck is perfect for wave watching or a nice afternoon nap downstairs, while the Upper Deck is a space for daily yoga, contemplation and meditation, as gentle ocean breezes float through. Up the walk from the beach, Bistro and Deck, a free form pool is nestled in between the rancho cabins and the main house, inviting guests to take a refreshing plunge for a brief respite from the lush, tropical heat.
